Douglasdale Retirement Village consists of the following physical infrastructure:

  • Dining room that serves breakfasts and midday meals. Snacks and confectionery are available for purchase during the day. Free tea and coffee is available for self-service. Frozen meals and many other essential items are available for purchase.
  • A 200 seat Hall for functions and various activities.
  • Heated swimming pool.
  • Midcare centre comprising 12 rooms.
  • Frailcare centre comprising 12 rooms. Both the Midcare and Frailcare centres are manned 24/7 by fully qualified nursing staff.
  • Panic button system with security and medical response to each unit.
  • Doctor’s consulting room.
  • Hair and beauty salon.
  • Library.
  • Telephones in all units with free internal calls.
  • TV points in all units.
  • Uncapped Internet access in a choice of 3 different speeds.
  • Solar water heating in all houses (not apartments).
  • Generator power for all 3 apartment blocks (passages and lifts only) and all areas of the Service Centre and medical suites.
  • State of the art security system.
  • There is an in-house maintenance team that takes care of day to day common area repairs and maintenance.

The Village is managed by 5 honorary directors appointed annually by the owners. These directors have in turn appointed CSi Property Management to handle the day to day management of the Village. Additional service providers have been appointed to handle the following:
