A bus service is provided to take residents to selected shopping centers as indicated in the timetable below. The cost of each trip is indicated in the timetable.

This bus service is provided by a contracted service provider. Please take special note of the Code Of Conduct that applies to this bus service. The code of conduct can be viewed on the link below.

Code of Conduct Bus Service

All users of the bus service must complete a one-time indemnity form which is kept on file by the Service Provider. First time users of the service will need to complete the form which is available from the driver.  The indemnity form can be viewed on the link below.

Consent and Indemnity Bus Service

Passengers need to be sufficiently mobile to board the bus on their own. By prior arrangement a carer may be permitted to accompany the passenger at no cost, subject to seat availability.

In all cases the driver will provide assistance with loading and unloading your purchases.

It is most important that users of this service return to the departure point on time. While the Driver will make every effort to locate a missing passenger, he has limited time to do this as other passengers cannot be inconvenienced. Where the passenger fails to arrive on time the bus may have to leave without the passenger. In this situation the General Manager of Douglasdale Retirement Village will be immediately notified and who will then implement appropriate measures to attempt to locate the missing passenger and get him/her back to the Village.
